Job Posting for Chair Puller and Assembly at American Furniture Warehouse

The Chair Runner position is to pull and put away chairs and chair parts in a safe and efficient thing for all departments and customers. All training is provided by AFW.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of the correct lifting/squad lifting techniques.
• Ability to perform the correct lifting/squad lifting techniques.
• Ability to work 0 to 35 anxiety above the ground.
• Power to be trained in cross over training.
• Ability to become certified in the performance of warehouse equipment.
• Ability to exist trained on the correct apply of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Power to operate a fork lift and order picker for pulling and putting away stock, lodge processing, loading and unloading trailers.

Task Expectations:

• Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promote safety awareness.
• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Operate material treatment equipment to movement product within the warehouse.
• Able to operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner.
• Able to correctly use a hand truck.
• Able to safely handle production from 0 to 35 feet above the ground.
• Able to safely transfer product to and from pallets.
• Inspect all ability equipment and complete the Vehicle Inspection Report before performance.
• Power to efficiently work independent of direct supervision.
• Able to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner.
• All preparation provided by AFW

Physical Requirements:

• Requires the power to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas.
• Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for eight hours or more daily.
• Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and dorsum.
• Requires lift, lower, button and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100 lbs. often and power to handle/manipulate up to 250 lbs. oft.
• The Chair Runner position requires lifting, griping, bending, kneeling, stooping and moving merchandise 8 hours or more daily.

Physical Work Environment:

• Fluorescent Lighting
• Concrete Flooring
• Climate effected by exterior conditions
• Considerable exterior noise
• Extreme temperature fluctuations in the warehouse
